PEOPLE OF TWO LANDS Series
In her documentary series “People of Two Lands: The Kyrgyz Of Jerge-Tal,” Janyl introduces us to some of the Kyrgyz wholive in Jerge-Tal Kyrgyz district in Northern Tajikistan, and some of those who left.
Uluu Pamir
The short film “Uluu Pamir” by Janyl Jusupjan recounts the long journey of the Kyrgyz nomad community of the Wakhan Corridor in Afghanistan and looks at their current situation in the village they call “Uluu Pamir” (Great Pamir) in the Van region of eastern Turkey.
